This year, the Land Accelerator Africa will feature two simultaneous programs: the continental program and a program targeting specific landscapes. In alignment with the Local Restore project, the second program will focus on three vital landscapes: The Great Rift Valley in Kenya, the Kivu Lake Basin and the Rusizi River in Burundi, and the cocoa belt of Ghana in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.

About Land Accelerator Africa
The Land Accelerator Africa is a pioneering training and mentoring program launched in 2018 by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and Flledge. In collaboration with the AFR100 secretariat, AUDA-NEPAD, and Barka, the program aims to support the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative (AFR100) by empowering entrepreneurs to scale up their efforts in land restoration.
Since its inception, the Land Accelerator has made a significant impact, attracting thousands of applicants and alumni from diverse backgrounds. Together, we have created thousands of jobs, supported hundreds of thousands of farmers, and restored hundreds of thousands of hectares of degraded land.
